Actually this would be a fourth or fifth candidate since there are others already on the ballot! Libertarian Gary Johnson and a Greenpeace candidate - Jill Stein...And who knows who else...Jesse Ventura? (He has threatened to jump in as he denounces the party system altogether)...technically there are even other names on ballots but only in a few States...Johnson is currently polling at 10% syphoning some votes from all directions so unlike Ross Perot who drained votes from GHW Bush affecting the outcome for Bill Clinton's win, Gary will likely have little impact.

But powerful "Old Establishment" Republicans would view one of their guys as a third "mainstream" candidate. Which could affect the election! It would actually help Hillary which is probably exactly what the establishment prefers...to keep their globalist agenda going forward.

Trump is anathema to them...

This is old news that is irrelevant at this point - "they" know now that Trump is highly likely to go all the way with the rising support data in every sector...

The Bushes, Karl Rove, Romney and their cronies all want to retain control...but they see the party being taken over by Trump...

And Ted Cruz wants a seat somewhere at the table - maybe even a Supreme court seat where he can "prove" his ultra conservative talk wasn't just voter "ear candy" rhetoric to gather conservative mainstream voters around himself  - but Ted also knew going in, the reality that it is highly unlikely a far right candidate could (and would) win the general election...selected operatives (like Ted) go into it knowing their main job - which is to continue the continuity of agenda of their big global bosses...just like Romney and McCain - they were (and are) all vetted by the elites and designed to...(if it proves necessary)...to take a fall for the owners of our political monopoly actually a Duopoly, of powerful global elite oligarchs - "the synagogue of Satan", where mammon is power wielded through the Federal Reserve, large multinational banks and other central banks around the world - "they" are pushing us into global government - this is the "Rockefeller (Rothschild) plan" going back many decades (even centuries)...the Rockefellers were behind our globalization course direction and they donated the land in Manhattan for the UN.

If a NWO Rockefeller-Bush republican necon can't win, "they" are very happy with their democrat puppet instead...on the Clinton-Obama side of the criminal global syndicate..."the cabal" working toward the Luciferian plan of one world, one monetary authority/system - cashless, biometric and digital and a one world religion where a New Age false christianity-churchianity merges with Islam and Judaism along with all the other false religions to ultimately "worship the Dragon" (Revelation 13)...

Trump has defied their present agenda and timeline...and caught them somewhat by surprise...so did Reagan...both as independent thinkers loyal to only the American people and the original intent of the constitution for the republic...

If Ted tried a third party run, it would be too obvious that the elites are using him to throw the election to Clinton...now if the FBI indicts her, Bernie becomes the only real option for that side of the Duopoly..."they" are very worried that Trump may be unstoppable...

This is why the VP choice is so important for Trump - a neocon insider choice would be like signing his own death warrant - Kennedy compromised with them to accept the corrupt LBJ on the ticket...and Reagan gave in to them with having Bush (CIA) on the ticket...the same playbook could be brought out...

And by the way Rafael Cruz was involved in covert ops for the Castro revolution with GHW Bush as CIA assets - Rafael with a blown cover needed to flee to Canada...the U.S. was too dangerous to bring him to, because of his known CIA and Cuban activities...it is quite feasible that later when in the States in Texas he had further CIA activities during the Kennedy years...l'll reserve judgments on the possible implications asserted by the National Enquirer of a picture that looks like a young Rafael with Oswald.

Ted would move into running for the Senate in Texas to ultimately position himself for the Presidency run...

After winning the Senate he began his posturing as a "shaker upper" challenging the Republican leadership while knowing the fix was already in for the initiatives of Obama...the elites always like to create their own controlled opposition and control the narrative...

He was behind the scenes cozy with McConnell flying with him twice to Tel Aviv on the Senate majority leader's private jet right after he was elected as the new junior Senator from Texas.
