Jesus warned of the last days being upon us when we see certain conditions developing as birth pains. He referred to these conditions as just "the beginning of sorrows".

The Scriptures speak and are unbroken:

 John 16 Jesus refers to his death and resurrection:

19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.21921 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Matthew 24

4 ¶And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

(Like the POPE or a cult leader...or a wicked political leader?)

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(Sure sounds like the POPE here...and the comedian actor Jamie Foxx publicly called Obama "our Lord and Savior".)

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled:for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

(Sure describes today's world)

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

(Description fits divided America)

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

(Preachers abound that promote a false Gospel and another Christ)

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

(Broken families and divided communities everywhere you turn)

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Job 12 - Job describes where his troubles came from ultimately and who allowed it...
